The Predator Portfolio includes six separate editions of only 950 s/n prints, one for each series of predator, which was released quarterly over a period of 18 months.  Five of the six editions in the Portfolio include three unparalleled hand-colored art prints of each predator species; the wolverine series includes two hand-colored prints. The Predator Portfolio prints have been created with an extremely unusual process.  The original drawings were black-and-white drawings made with a variety of media from india ink to acrylic, a variety of tools from pens and brushes to twigs and a variety of techniques from spattering to sandpapering! the original black-and-white Predator Portfolio drawings were photo-mechanically reproduced.  Bateman then made a series of drawings on separate plates by hand - one plate for each color he wanted in each drawing.  These were printed on top of the black-and-white prints.  Each was then individually hand-colored.  "Each is truly an original print and, in subtle ways, each is unique," says Bateman. About Robert Bateman (From COA) Born in Toronto, Robert Bateman was a keen artist and naturalist from his early days. Eva's Hallmark has been in business for over 20 years now.  We are a large collectibles retailer specializing in M.I. Hummel, Swarovski crystal, Walt Disney Collector's Classics, Lenox, Precious Moments, and many more. Because of our large collector base, we have been continually asked about how the secondary market (eBay in particular) works and how someone would go about selling their items.  We now occasionally help some of our larger collectors to sell their "high-end" collections via eBay.  The item you are bidding on here is an item that belongs to one such collector and is part of a much larger collection.  We will post weekly auctions of this collection for sale until it is gone.
