   This lens is the highly-disirable Mk.I version of the popular 50mm f/1.8 prime. Canon discontinued this model and replaced it with the inferior, but cheaper, Mk.II version. As a consequence, the Mk.I is becoming ever more difficult to source and pristine copies are a rare find. The Mk.I features the same basic design as the Mk.II, but benefits from a metal lens mount, focus distance scale and superior overall build quality. Additionally, it is rumored that Mk.I's generally have marginally sharper optics due to better Quality Control. This lens is especially useful for portraiture and any low-light situation where f/1.8 really comes into its own. This lens is sharp as a razor! This lens is in MINT condition.
