SIGMA 70-210mm f/2.8 APO ZOOM LENS **CANON EOS**

NOTE: The aperture diaphragm on this lens does not always fully-open to f/2.8. I have found that it is possible to work-around this issue by using Depth of Field Preview mode to manually click through the f/stops in order to 'free' the diaphragm, although your mileage may vary. This issue has no effect on picture quality as the camera will meter for the reduced light coming in through the lens and expose the shot accordingly.Shots taken at smaller apertures (ie. higher f/stop values) are unaffected and the aperture diaphragm is snappy when stopping-down the lens. This lens is an excellent aftermarket alternative to the vastly more expensive Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L. Boasting a constant aperture of f/2.8 throughout the zoom range, this lens is perfect for sports and wildlife photography where the large aperture enables the use of faster shutter speeds / lower ISO while still maintaining correct exposure.The optical design of this lens incorporates 16 elements in 12 groups and features Super Low Dispersion (SLD) glass for increased resistance to chromatic aberrations.
