VINTAGE VIEW MASTER STEREOSCOPE SAWYER'S BOX BAKELITE

This vintage Sawyer's View-Master Stereoscope Model C is in excellent shape. Made of black bakelite in Portland, Oregon this item was used with View-Master stereoscopic picture reels. A later model probably made in the late 40s or early 50s, this view-master itself has no scratches and the handle still moves smoothly to move the reel ahead to the next image. This particular model was the first to have a slot into which the reels were placed for viewing. This is the non-outlined patent variant. It is in its original box, however; the box top has split at three corners. Inside the box top is a printed list of picture reels that were available to use with the View-Master. The inside of the bottom of the box is also in good condition except for a few minor scuffs caused by lifting the View-Master in and out.   The image of the old advertisement is not part of the auction; it is only there for reference.
