      This auction is for a vintage Army-Navy "E" Award and Presentation Program issued to the men and women employees of the Indiana Division of Republic Aviation Corporation (Evansville, Indiana) issued May 22nd, 1944. Republic Aviation of Evansville manufactured the famous and feared P-47 Thunderbolt ("Jug") Fighter/Light Bomber during WWII. The "E" award comes with the original (complete) presentation program, a small envelope to contain the award, a cellophane sleeve to protect the award card, the award card with a message from Franklin Roosevelt, and the mint, never been off the card, sterling silver Army-Navy "E" Award.
