Antique Knights Templar Commanders Sword and Regalia

You are bidding on a York Rite / Knights Templar Commanders' sword and associated regalia, all tucked away in a Knights Templar strapped leather footlocker. The central piece in this amazing auction is the ceremonial Commander's sword, with celluloid handle and intricate metalwork. It comes with its metal sheath and protective carrying case. The sword was manufactuered by the M.C. Lilly Co. of Columbus, OH. The blade is etched on one side with the Masonic square and compass, and the other with Knights Templar crusade and Masonic working tools. The owners' name, "Frank McGehee," is also etched on the sword blade. The protective carrying case is labeled, "Washington, Indiana." In excellent condition for its age; no major flaws to note!Also included in this auction is a leather travel suitcase or footlocker complete with gold and black braided Commander's sword belt (gold buckle), black braces, black gloves, across the shoulder sash with medallion, and chapeau with ostrich plume feathers. The ostrich feathers are deteriorating rapidly and are shedding heavily, but should hold up if the hat is going to be displayed. Otherwise, the other items are in very good condition with no major flaws. Inside the suitcase is a catalogue advertisement for Ihiling Bros. Everard C. Kalamazoo, Michigan Indiana Knights Templar, complete with price lists for all Indiana uniforms and ceremonial items. Take a look and enjoy!
