Hello and welcome to The Displaced Victorian Antiques and Collectables. This is a 7 day no reserve auction for a wonderful M.I. Hummmel Goose Girl Figurine with the Full Bee Mark. Please click on the photographs to enlarge them in order to see the item clearer. Measuring 4 1/4” tall x 3 3/4” wide x 2 1/2” deep, it is in perfect, cabinet kept, condition without any chips or cracks. I understand that in older catalogues, this was sometimes called “Little Gooseherd”. Master sculptor Arthur Moeller first modeled this figurine in 1936. On the top of the base “M. I. Hummel” is incised in script. The bottom bears the full bee marking in blue and the incised numbers 47/30 and the word Germany in black. I do note a tiny bit of crazing on the underside of the figurine and also a few fine lines of crazing on the top in between the girls feet and the goose’s. Barely noticeable, but needs to be mentioned nonetheless. IMPORTANT: Please read the following as it may answer any questions you may have: Any white spots on the photos are reflections from my studio lights. If you need more photos, just let me know. Please “click” on the photos to enlarge them in order to view the item clearly . There are lots of photos, so please be patient while they load. Since dirt can hide a multitude of flaws, I carefully clean and inspect each item I sell. I will gladly and promptly answer any email questions. I am very happy to save you on shipping by combining multiple purchases. My auctions run from Sunday to Sunday, ending around 10:00 pm EST. They end in close succession, so keep that in mind when bidding on more than one item. During the week of the auction, I may add to my auction description as I answer buyers questions. So please scroll all the way to the bottom to read any such additions. My low starting bids are no reflection on the actual worth of the item as they are normally worth quite a bit more. Just as in a live auction, I like individuals to have the excitement of bidding without the hassles of reserves. Unfortunately, I have in the past been a victim of dishonest buyers who purchased my perfect item with the intent to switch it with a damaged one they already own. They have attempted to demand a refund for the “broken” item I sold them. I now mark all of my items with an indelible invisible mark that can only be seen under a special light to protect myself. Please do not attempt such a switch as it is not only dishonest, it is Mail Fraud. Please read my “Terms of Service” so that there will be no confusion. Thank you!
