I tried some on in a shop, and luckily my hubby likes it too so he bought me some on a recent trip abroad. It's an unusual scent, difficult to describe exactly. It's fruity, in a zingy citrussy way as well as floral, but not 'old lady' floral. The official description reads something like, "Mandarin, blackcurrant, violet, and blackberry, smoothed with jasmine, heliotrope, and cedarwood". You'd have to be an expert to identify all of those individually but I agree. And I like it! It's not a heavy musky perfume which follows you down the street but its not too light and wispy either - people close to you will know you are wearing it. I'd say it was feminine, funky and fruity. Perfume is a very personal thing, what you think smells great on you other people may not like, and a perfume you like on your friend's wrist or a tester card may not smell the same on your own skin. You'll only know you really like this or any perfume if you test it on your own skin, and wait at least an hour to see how the scent develops.  Perfumes have top, middle and bottom notes. The top note is what you smell when you spray the perfume on and the middle and bottom notes follow later as the heat from your skin affects the perfume. The top notes can be quite harsh and the bottom notes a few hours later are normally softer and mellower. That's why I'd never judge a perfume on first impressions. The packaging is fab, it's a very chunky square bottle with an equally chunky round stopper, both solid and feel 'expensive'. Although of course that's not a reason for buying this perfume on its own, it helps that it looks very nice in your bedroom/bathroom. If you do like this and want to drop hints to your other half to buy you some, make sure they don't get Gucci (without the II) which looks very similar, except the perfume is brown not pink, but smells quite different! I can't think of any disadvantages to having your loved one buy you lovely perfume, as long as they buy one you like. I find it helps to 'guide' them when you're out shopping or flicking through a magazine, but only coming up to my birthday or Christmas of course!
