Flag/Reset GearBROTHER TN-580 TN-3170 TN-3185Starter Cartridges & TN-550 TN-3130 TN-3145 Upgrades Recycled Image proudly presents our top quality cartridge components.  Our components allow our customers to successfully refill thier cartridges correctly.  This part will get rid of that anoying Toner End Life message and will enhance the quality of your prints.  Starter cartridges do not come with this part. Reasons for the gear in the first place: The "Flag" resets the printer and lets it know a new cartridge has been installed.This flag gear can turn a TN-550, TN-3130, or a TN-3145 into a High Yield TN-580, TN-3170, or TN-3185 and is a recommended upgrade with our Refill Kits for those Low Yield cartridges.When a new cartridge is instaled it tends to print lightly, when the gear resets the printer it prints at a higher bias voltage to compensate for this.  This will increase you print quality and as the cartridge page count increases the bias voltage gradually goes down.  This ensure quality printing from the first page to the last.The flag gear will also reset the Toner End Life message. Starter cartridges can be refilled with this flag gear saving you money.  You can get 2-3 refills before the cartridge needs to be recycled.  When you purchase a new OEM or remanufactured cartridge they will have this gear.  However I suggest removing this gear before recycling your cartridge just in case you ever need one again. FREE SHIPPING  If you reside in the United States we ship this part for FREE. If you reside outside the United States we will also provide FREE shipping on this item as long as you purchase a refill kit and the gear at the same time and you combine the purchases in the checkout. Instructions are full color and very detailed.Recycled Image will always provide you with excellent service if you should have any problems with the reseting of this gear.
