You are looking at a beautiful South American hardwood flooring product. Brazilian Teak (aka Cumaru), also known as Southern Chestnut and Tiete Chestnut, is one of the hardest and most beautiful species of hardwood coming out of South America. This species is known for it's rich golden blonde to medium brown color tones, it's unique grain, and overall durabliity. Cumaru is an extremely durable Peruvian hardwood that has incredible strength and natural resistance to damage. Five times harder than pine, cedar and redwood. Cumaru is perfect for long-term, high-use projects such as exterior decking and flooring for the interior of your home. This unique wood also boasts a Class-A fire rating, the same as concrete or steel!!! This auction is for 4" x 3/4" Select Grade Cumaru that comes in random lengths of 1-7'. This product has tongue and groove on all four sides, microbeveled edges, and is prefinished with 10 coats of polyurethane and aluminum oxide (and industrial-grade, scratch resistant compound, used in the electronics industry to coat microchips). This product has a 25 year finish warranty and a lifetime warranty on the structure. You won't find a better quality exotic floor for the price. Brazilian Teak is rated at 3540 on the Janka scale...compared to Red Oak at 1260.
