PINEAPPLE FACE COCONUT MASK, MEXICO FOLK ART, RARE

This is a beautiful looking coconut mask in the shape of an exotic fruit with a headdress similar to a pineapple leaf is made from a dried coconut shell. Artisans use various types of materials, like dried leaves, flowers, seeds, sand and then carefully hand paint each one in a unique way using glossy enamel. It comes from the small village of San Francisco, in the state of Guerrero in Mexico. The artisans of this community are the owners of a long tradition of fine craftsmanship. It’s totally hand crafted and painted and it makes a nice piece of decoration for your home or office. The mask is 7.9” (20 cm) tall, and 5.9” (15.0 cm) wide.
